Decorah Time Trials - 24th Annual

DECORAH, IOWA is a town of 8,000 with 500 acres of park land, 20 miles of off-road biking trails, and home to the longest running mountain bike event in Iowa.  

The 8.75 mile course winds through the rolling, wooded areas of the Decorah Parks System and includes lots of technical single track. Participants will be released singularly on 1-minute intervals starting at 2:00 pm. 


ENTRY FEE:  $25  $5 of this entry fee is designated for maintenance and improvements of mountain bike trails in the Decorah Parks System

Pre-registered riders (postmarked by April 18) select their start time when they pick up their packet. Late registrants select a start time after the pre-race meeting.

Awards

Plaques will be awarded 1st and 2nd place in each class.

A minimum of $200 will be awarded the overall male and female. 

The Fuhrmann Cup:  If the winner of the 2014 Decorah Time Trials has a faster time than the 2013 winning time of 0:49:59.50 by Brian Fuhrmann, they will receive a $500 prize in lieu of the overall cash prize.  The Fuhrmann Cup is sponsored by longtime Time Trials supporters Folkedahl Service and Oneota River Cycles

Cash will also be given at least the next five male overall finishers and the second woman finishing.

Total cash payout for the Trials will be a minimum of $1,000.  

Late registration and pre-registration check-in is race day from 12:15 to 1:45 at the entrance to Dunning's Spring Park.

A mandatory pre-race meeting will be held at the registration area at 1:45. Light refreshments will be provided to riders at the registration tent.

Attention Parents!

Don't leave your kids at home--we also have a Kids Time Trials. Helmets and bikes suitable for off-road terrain are required. Participants must be able to ride 1 1/2 miles. Registration will be the day of the event from 12:15 to 1:00, and the cost is FREE! Riders will be released singularly on 1-minute intervals starting at 1:00.
